11 Celebrities Who Went Through The Pain Of Miscarriage & Lost Their Unborn Baby

Having a baby which results in having a happy addition to ones family is perhaps the best thing that can happen to a couple. Pregnancy is tough and it does take a toll on the mother’s health, but the happiness in imagining that what she has inside is something beyond happiness. But the worst part is losing your unborn child, due to complications, , and that is termed as miscarriage.

There are many Bollywood and Television celebrities who went through miscarriage, below is the list:

1. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra

The couple got married in the year 2009 and in the year 2012, they had their first child, Viaan. But before that Shilpa was pregnant after few months of her marriage, but that did not go well which resulted in her losing her child because of miscarriage. The couple was devastated and she initially thought she’ll never be able to have a baby again because she was diagnosed with APLs, which disrupts pregnancy in women.

During an event, while talking about life and topics related to that she opened up about this tough phase of her life,

“I am going to share with you my experience of motherhood or rather my journey to motherhood. So when I discovered I was pregnant for the first time, I was overjoyed. And then I had a miscarriage and it was devastating. I thought I had never gotten pregnant again. And then I was diagnosed with APL syndrome. Imagine someone as healthy as me was diagnosed with APLS and I was very frightened. I feel when you think of motherhood, it should be a very joyous experience, not a fearful one.”

2. Kajol and Ajay Devgn

Kajol and Ajay Devgn got married in the year 1999. Their first child was Naysa was born in the year 2003. But that was not their first time Kajol getting pregnant. In the year 2001, Kajol was pregnant but after 6 weeks of pregnancy, they learned that it was an ectopic pregnancy, which made the child a danger to Kajol’s life.

Thus they had to go through a miscarriage to provide Kajol a healthy life. Though the couple is happy with 2 kids, Naysa and Yug. Ajay did refer to this situation and said,

“Yes, we have lost our baby, but we have no regrets. it was an ectopic pregnancy. Kajol’s life was in danger. as soon as the doctors informed us that they would have to operate, we both gave them the go-ahead. Of course, both of us were thrilled when we learned of the pregnancy following a blood test. still, if not today, tomorrow we will look forward to starting a family.”

3. Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan

Back in 2005, Kiran and Aamir got married. In 2009, Kiran was pregnant with their first child but eventually, they lost the child due to miscarriage. Aamir was the one who talked about the whole scenario. Later on, the couple thought of giving IVF a shot, and had their first baby through IVF surrogacy. In 2011 they were blessed with a baby boy and they named him, Azad.
