Story:

Set in 1945, in the town of Husnabad, just before the partition of India, Kalank is a story of love, loss, and destiny. Roop, a young woman from a wealthy family, is married to Dev Chaudhry, but their marriage is loveless. She soon falls in love with Zafar, a man from the wrong side of the tracks. Their love story is set against the backdrop of communal tensions and political unrest that were brewing in the country at the time.
