Unbelievable Romance and Weddings In Indian Television Reality Shows

“Everything is fair in love, war and Indian television”.

To increase the TRP of the TV show’s makers left no stone unturned. Be it a singing contest, dancing or a present running reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’. All these reality shows create (fake) love stories to get people glued to their screen forever. Probably these couples are as false as the reel life couples on daily soaps are. Here the list of some fake romance and marriage proposals that starts in show and just get ended outside the show.

1.Mona Lisa and Vikrant Singh Rajpoot

Bhojpuri film actress and ‘Bigg Boss 10′ contest Monalisa get married to boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajpoot inside the Bigg Boss house. Post the wedding and reception ceremony the couple even spent their wedding night in the secret room of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.

2. Sara Khan and Ali Merchant

Sara became household name after her stint at ‘Bigg Boss 4’. The actress married long-time boyfriend Ali Merchant in the show. However, two months later, they were divorced. According to reports, the couple has been paid Rs.50 lakh to get married on reality show. Later, In an episode of the TV show ‘Sacch Ka Saamna’ Ali said that Marriage with Sara is the biggest mistake of his life. He was married for publicity. He was not given any money for it.

Later, Ali Merchant has again tied the knot with an investment banker, Anam, in a private ceremony in Karjat on January 29, 2016.

3. Rakhi Sawant and Elesh Parujanwala

In 2009, rakhi Sawant bring a realty show “Rakhi Ka Swayamvar” on national television. 30-year-old Canada-based businessman Elesh Parujanwala win over Rakhi Sawant among 16 contestants on show. Rakhi who got engaged to the winner Elesh during the show but later denied to get marry with him. Rakhi herself said in an interview she didn’t want to get mingle with Elesh because their ideas do not match each other. So she refuses to take the relationship forward.
