Madhur Mittal gets anticipatory bail in harassment case filed by Ex GF: “Don’t want my career to suffer”

On Friday, Slumdog Millionaire actor Madhur Mittal has been granted anticipatory bail in a sexual assault case filed against him by his ex girlfriend.

Speaking of the same, the actor expresses his  belief in the Indian legal system. Madhur told SpotboyE,

“At last after weeks of unimaginable turmoil and stress for me and my family, I was granted anticipatory bail today in the first hearing itself.  I am feeling so much better. It makes me believe in the legal system of our country.”

While this comes as a big relief, Madhur hopes that his career is not affected after this incident.

“Before all this happened  I was getting at least a  couple of audition calls every day. Now they’ve stopped. I just don’t want my work to suffer. Otherwise, my conscience  is  clear.”

Madhur Mittal’s ex partner had accused him of sexual harassment. Based on the woman’s complaint, Khar police had booked Mittal under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354A (sexual harassment), 354B (use of criminal force to disrobe a woman), 354(D) (stalking) and 509 (words or gestures intending to insult the modesty of any woman).
