Yodha vs Shaitaan vs Bastar Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn’s Film Is Unstoppable; Sidharth Malhotra And Adah Sharma starrer Lack

Box Office Showdown: Shaitaan Leads, Yodha and Bastar Struggle

This is a breakdown of how three movies, Shaitaan, Yodha, and Bastar, performed at the box office in India:

Shaitaan is a clear winner! Directed by Vikas Bahl, it’s a remake of a successful Gujarati horror film called “Vash.” After just 13 days in theaters, Shaitaan crossed a huge milestone – earning over ₹110 crore (approximately $13.2 million)! This shows the movie has been a big hit with audiences.

Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra, had a less impressive run. Released on March 15th, it received mixed reviews and a lukewarm response. Though it earned a decent ₹4.25 crore (around $510,000) on opening day, it struggled to gain momentum. By its sixth day, earnings dropped to around ₹2 crore (approximately $240,000). As of March 20th, theaters weren’t very full, with a Hindi occupancy rate of only 10.01%.

Bastar: The Naxal Story, starring Adah Sharma, also released on March 15th. It started slow with opening day earnings of ₹40 lakhs (around $48,000). There was a slight bump on the weekend, reaching ₹2.05 crore (approximately $247,000) total. However, things went downhill quickly after that. By Monday, collections were lower than opening day, and the downward trend continued. By day six, earnings dropped to around ₹17 lakhs (approximately $20,000). This is far from what the filmmakers had hoped for, especially considering the success of movies like “The Kerala Story.” On March 20th, theaters weren’t very full for Bastar either, with a Hindi occupancy rate of only 7.65%.
