‘Yes, I Need 10 Lakhs; But…’ – Veteran Actress Jaya Bhattacharya Shares About Her Financial Crisis & It’s Quite Shocking!

Surprisingly, after being in the industry for so many years, what led the veteran actress face this crisis. “See, the kind of work we do, nothing is permanent. Thus these kinds of crisis arise. I am the only child of my parents and so their whole sole responsibility is upon me. My mother has been admitted since 15 days and for the past five days, she is on ventilator. Obviously, medical charges are too high. On the other hand, I had invested some money in the renovation of my house. However, I decided to stick to the basic and have asked the contractors to stop the renovation work. However, I feel that if there are true friend and family around who are really supportive, we can conquer all the obstacles (smiles)”.

Jaya Bhattacharya was last seen in serial, Thapki which ran quite successfully for almost two years. In June 2017, the lead actress Jigyasa Singh was unwell and was replaced temporarily. The show was cancelled when the ratings fell. The last episode on aired on 14th July, 2017. Since then, Jaya is looking for work.
