Nancy Tyagi, the latest internet sensation, recently opened up about her past struggles on Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast. The fashionista, who made India proud by walking the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in three stunning self-made dresses, shared her journey and the hardships she faced.

Nancy, known for her creativity and perseverance, discussed her difficult early days. She revealed that her mother worked in a factory, and their family survived on just six to seven thousand rupees a month, an amount insufficient for basic needs.

During those tough times, Nancy admitted to contemplating suicide.

However, her determination to improve her family’s situation kept her going, and eventually, things started to look up. She credits her mother for working tirelessly to support the family.

Nancy Tyagi aimed to make life comfortable for her mother

In the same conversation, Nancy mentioned that her primary goal was to make life easier for her mother, who worked in a hazardous factory environment. Nancy is now happy that she can financially support her family, allowing her mother to stop working. She stated,

“Mujhe paisa nahi chahiye tha, mujhe mummy ko kaam se hatwana tha.”

“I didn’t want money; I wanted my mom to stop working.”

Born in Baranwa village, Uttar Pradesh, Nancy moved to New Delhi in 2020 to prepare for the UPSC exams. The lockdown period allowed her to pursue her passion for fashion, despite financial difficulties. For 1.5 years, she worked hard, posting videos of her self-stitched outfits, slowly gaining recognition.
