Bollywood 2024: Can Pushpa 2 and Singham Again Rule the Box Office?

2023 was a big year for Bollywood, especially for the Khan superstars. After years of their films dominating the box office, 2017 saw an exception with “Baahubali 2” taking the crown. The Khans then took a backseat, with other actors like Ranbir Kapoor (“Sanju”) and Yash (“KGF – Chapter 2”) claiming top honors in subsequent years. But in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan returned with a roar, making “Jawan” the year’s biggest hit and proving he’s still king.

Film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi believes “Singham Again” could be the biggest opener of 2024, maybe even the decade, thanks to its massive star power and the combined fan base of all the actors involved. He even sees the potential for this and “Pushpa 2” to cross the Rs. 600 crore mark.
