Shanaya Kapoor’s Debut Dreams Were Put On Hold After Dharma Movie Got Shelved: ‘Traumatised’
Shanaya Kapoor‘s Resilience Amidst Challenges
Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, was initially set to make her Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions’ Bedhadak. However, when the film was shelved, it left a significant emotional impact on Shanaya, as revealed by her mother, Maheep Kapoor, in the latest season of Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives.
Maheep shared that Shanaya was deeply affected by the cancellation, and Karan Johar had to step in to provide support during this difficult time. Despite the setback, Shanaya has remained resilient and is now excited to embark on a new acting venture.
Beyond the challenges faced by her daughter, Maheep also opened up about her personal struggles. She shared her experiences with COVID-19 and the loss of her house help, which significantly impacted her emotional well-being. Additionally, the episode highlighted a strained relationship with her friend Seema Sajdeh, who expressed frustration over Maheep’s reluctance to allow her to offer support.
Despite these setbacks, Shanaya is now ready to make her debut in the Telugu-Malayalam film Vrushabha alongside superstar Mohanlal. This new project has reignited her passion for acting and marks a fresh start in her career. While the initial anticipation for her Bollywood debut alongside Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya has shifted, Shanaya’s enthusiasm for her upcoming multilingual project remains high, promising an exciting new chapter in her journey.
