Shah Rukh Khan’s Koyla Co-star Pradeep Rawat Recalls Superstar’s Smoking Habits On Sets; Says ‘He Was A True Chain Smoker’

Pradeep Rawat Shares Fun Memories from the Sets of Koyla

Veteran actor Pradeep Rawat recently shared some interesting stories from the set of the 1997 movie “Koyla” in an interview. He talked about his co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, and the film’s director Rakesh Roshan.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Smoking Habit

Even though Pradeep wasn’t very close to Shah Rukh Khan during filming, he remembers him as a polite and kind person. However, something that really stood out to Pradeep was Shah Rukh Khan’s love for cigarettes. According to him, Shah Rukh Khan was a real chain smoker! He would light one cigarette and then use it to light the next one, and so on. Despite this habit, Pradeep also highlighted Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication to the movie.

Hrithik Roshan – The Assistant Director

Pradeep also revealed a fun fact about Hrithik Roshan, who was a young assistant director on the sets of “Koyla.” Back then, Hrithik would come to the hotel room of actor Johnny Lever in the evenings to deliver the script for the next day’s shoot.

Parties Galore with Rakesh Roshan

Pradeep fondly remembers the director Rakesh Roshan for his generous and fun-loving nature. Apparently, filming with Rakesh Roshan meant there was always a party involved! If a day passed without a party after shooting, then according to Pradeep, it wasn’t a real Rakesh Roshan film shoot. Rakesh Roshan would personally invite everyone – cast and crew – for food, drinks, and even a trip to the disco afterwards!

About Pradeep Rawat and Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Projects

The article also mentions Pradeep Rawat’s impressive filmography, including movies like “Ghajini” and “Lagaan.” On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming movie “King,” which will also star his daughter Suhana Khan. Shah Rukh Khan also has another big project lined up – “Tiger vs Pathaan” alongside Salman Khan, expected to hit theaters in 2027.
