Shah Rukh Khan’s Post-Dunki Projects: A Trio of Thrillers

Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed King of Bollywood, is set to continue his reign with a series of exciting new projects. Following the massive success of his 2023 trio—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki—the actor is gearing up to dominate the box office once again.

Reports suggest that Khan has secured two major action films: King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and Pathaan 2 within the YRF Spy Universe. But that’s not all. The actor is also aiming to finalize a three-film lineup before commencing work on King.

While details about the third project are scarce, it’s known that Khan is actively exploring scripts outside the action genre. According to Pinkvilla, he’s in talks with Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan for an adventurous film that would mark the beginning of a new cinematic universe.

Khan has been meeting with numerous filmmakers to discuss potential projects, but nothing has truly captured his imagination. “Shah Rukh Khan has met almost every filmmaker in the last few months, and heard the ideas they had for him. But nothing really excited him,” a source revealed.

The adventure film with Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan is not the only project Khan is considering. He’s also in talks with Raj and DK for a comic action thriller and exploring options with filmmakers from the South for action films.

As for the timeline, King is expected to begin production in January 2025, with filming wrapping up by mid-2025. Meanwhile, Pathaan 2 is anticipated to start production by late 2025 or early 2026. Aditya Chopra, the film’s producer, is expected to finalize the director by February or March 2025.

With such a promising lineup of projects, Shah Rukh Khan’s reign as the King of Bollywood is far from over. Fans can expect to see him on the big screen for years to come, thrilling audiences with his exceptional talent and charisma.
