Salman Khan Remembers Emotional Moment on “Maine Pyar Kiya” Set

The movie “Maine Pyar Kiya” from 1989 is extra special to many people, including the actor who starred in it, Salman Khan. He recently talked about a touching moment he had while filming the famous song “Kabootar Ja Ja Ja.”

Back then, Salman was only around 18 years old. He remembered how this moment made him believe in himself and his ability to succeed in movies. He told Hello! Indo-Arabia magazine, “I used to imagine actors like Jackie Shroff or Anil Kapoor in these big roles when I heard about them. But I never really thought I could be in them myself. That moment on set was the first time I truly felt like, ‘Yes, I can do this!’ I even got tears in my eyes.”

“Maine Pyar Kiya” came out in December 1989. Sooraj Barjatya directed it, and Salman Khan and Bhagyashree played the lead roles. The movie was a huge hit and made Salman a superstar.

Thinking back on the movie’s success, Salman wrote a letter thanking his fans for their support. He promised to pick good scripts for his future movies, knowing that people would always compare them to “Maine Pyar Kiya.”

In his heartfelt letter, Salman said, “I love you all, and I hope you’ll keep loving me. Because if you stop liking me, you’ll stop watching my movies, and that’s the end of my career. Remember, it’s the fans who make stars like us.”

As for his recent work, Salman Khan’s last movie was “Tiger 3” with Katrina Kaif. Next up, he’ll be starring in “Sikandar” directed by AR Murugadoss, which is coming out on Eid in 2025.
