She claims that these Bollywood actors used political tensions between the two countries as an excuse to get Pakistani artists banned in India (referring to the ban after the Uri attack).

“It wasn’t just the politicians who had a problem with us,” Khan said. “The top actors in India were scared too.”

Khan goes on to suggest that Bollywood actors were not just worried about losing movie roles, but also about the growing popularity of Pakistani actors among Indian audiences. “They were so scared of our talent that they got us banned,” she claims.
