Get ready for another exciting voyage! The trailer for Disney’s eagerly awaited Moana 2 is finally here, giving fans a thrilling peek at what’s next for Moana. Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson are back as Moana and Maui in this sequel, happening three years after the first movie in 2016.

The trailer, revealed at the D23 Expo on August 9, shows us a more grown-up Moana. She’s now looking after her 3-year-old sibling, Simea. As the leader of both land and sea, Moana sets off to discover nearby islands, searching for signs of other communities. During her journey, she faces a new, mysterious enemy, suggesting a more dangerous adventure than before.

The official summary hints at the plot, “After getting an unexpected call from her ancestors who taught her to navigate, Moana has to travel to the far reaches of Oceania and into perilous, long-forgotten waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”

A Stellar Voice Cast and Crew Besides Cravalho and Johnson, Moana 2 has a star-studded voice cast, including Temuera Morrison as Tui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Rose Matafeo as Loto, David Fane as Kele, Hualālai Chung as Moni, and Alan Tudyk returning as Heihei.

The film is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, with Christina Chen and Yvett Merino producing. The story is written by Jared Bush and Miller, with Jennifer Lee, Bush, and Johnson as executive producers. The music is a collaboration of talented artists, including Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa’i, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.

Release Date and Expectations Moana 2 is set to hit theaters on November 2.
