Kartik Aaryan reveals he almost faced a drastic eye injury due to an explosion during the shoot of Chandu Champion

Kartik Aaryan, the actor who starred in the movie Chandu Champion, has repeatedly emphasized that the project meant a lot to him. As the heartwarming and inspiring movie continues to receive praise, Kartik shared some of the challenges he faced during filming. He even admitted that he narrowly escaped a serious eye injury while shooting one scene.

In an interview, Kartik remembered filming the war sequences, a significant part of Chandu Champion. One scene required him to be in the middle of the battlefield with other actors. He said, “We were all running, and there was an explosion. It was supposed to happen right beside me on my right side.”

He was fortunate to avoid any injury, but he described how close he came to being hurt. “The timing was a little off during rehearsals,” he explained. “If it had gone off on time, it would have exploded right when I reached that spot. It would have definitely injured my right eye.”

Chandu Champion tells the true story of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympics gold medalist. The movie, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also features actors like Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, and Sonali Kulkarni. It was released worldwide in theaters on June 14th.
