Kangana Ranaut’s movie, Emergency has been facing great difficulties after The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers to make some changes in the movie. Now, the producers of the film have agreed to make changes to the film. The makers of Emergency approached the Bombay High Court to give certification to the movie. The makers have submitted the format which includes all the changes required. Now, the CBFC will give their opinion on the new format and then the next hearing will be taking place on October 3. Kangana Ranaut’s movie Emergency was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on September 6. But amid the controversy and case, the movie had to be postponed. The makers will announce the new release date after it gets a positive response from CBFC.
Earlier in an interview with IANS, Kangana said, “It’s getting too late. I hope the film comes on time. Otherwise, I am determined to fight for it. I am determined to even go to court to protect my film. To save my right as an individual. You can’t change history and scare us by threats. We have to show the history. An almost 70-year-old woman was shot 30-35 times in her house… Someone must have killed her. Now you want to show it… Because apparently, you think you can hurt someone. But you have to show the history. So how did she die?”
The story of Emergency revolves around the leadership of the first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during the emergency period in the country from 1975 to 1977. It features Kangana Ranaut, Vishak Nair, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla and Adhir Bhat in prominent roles.
