Bhool Chuk Maaf Box Office Day 8: Rajkummar Rao & Wamiqa Gabbi’s Sci-Fi Rom-Com Nears…
Kalki 2898 AD Global Box Office Collection Day 1: Prabhas-Starrer Magnum Opus Eyes Rs 200 Crore Blockbuster Opening
The sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD is coming out in theaters on June 27th, 2024! It has a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan. There are even special appearances by Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani! Experts think the movie could make a ton of money, maybe even 200 crore rupees worldwide on the first day! That would make it the highest-grossing opening movie of 2024 and one of the top 3 ever in India. If this is true, then Prabhas would have 3 movies in the top 5 for biggest opening day ever in India!
Here’s a breakdown of how much money the movie is expected to make:
- People are already buying tickets like crazy, especially in areas that speak Telugu. Ticket sales in Hindi are also going well, similar to another movie called Salaar.
- In India alone, the movie is expected to make between 120 crore and 140 crore rupees on opening day.
- Two southern states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, are expected to bring in the most money, with 90-100 crore rupees.
- Surprisingly, northern India might make more money than all of southern India (except for the two states mentioned before) put together on opening day.
- Outside of India, the movie is expected to make 60-70 crore rupees.
- Altogether, worldwide, the movie could make 180-210 crore rupees on opening day!
So, what’s the movie about?
Kalki 2898 AD takes place way in the future, in the year 2898. The world is a desert wasteland, and a giant floating pyramid called the Complex looms over a city called Kasi. The story mixes Indian myths with a futuristic setting. It starts way back in 3102 BC, when the Mahabharata happened, and goes all the way up to 2898. The movie centers around Kalki, who is believed to be the tenth and last incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu.
The movie was originally supposed to come out in May, but it got pushed back because of India’s big elections in 2024. Now it’s finally coming out on June 27th in theaters everywhere, and you’ll even be able to see it in special formats like IMAX and 3D!
