Jawan diva Nayanthara regretted doing Suriya’s movie Ghajini; here’s why

Nayanthara, a famous Indian actress, has been in many successful movies. Recently, she starred in the hit movie Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan, which made over 1000 crore rupees. She also appeared in Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food and other popular films like Annaatthe, Thani Oruvan, Godfather, Bigil, and Darbar.

However, in 2019, Nayanthara mentioned that she regretted acting in the 2005 movie Ghajini with Suriya. While the movie was a huge success, she felt her role was not what she had expected. She said, “My role did not shape out the way it was narrated to me and I was photographed badly.”

In Ghajini, Nayanthara played the role of Chitra. Asin was the lead actress, and the movie was directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The movie was remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan and Asin in the lead roles and Jiah Khan in Nayanthara’s role. Both the original and the remake were very popular.

Despite this one regret, Nayanthara is a very successful actress with many upcoming projects, including Thani Oruvan 2, Mannangatti, Test, and potentially a Kannada film called Toxic with the famous KGF star Yash. She is also happily married to Vignesh Shivan, and they have twin children.
