Janhvi Kapoor Opens Up On Her Wedding Rumours With Shikhar Pahariya; Says ‘ I Am Not Okay With…’
May 29, 2024Janhvi Kapoor, who is busy promoting Mr & Mrs Mahi, recently spoke about her wedding rumours with Shikhar Pahariya. The actress never opened up directly about her relationship with her rumoured beau but is often seen giving hints about the same. Earlier, this year Janhvi was seen flaunting a neckpiece which had Shikhu written on it during the screening of Maidaan. She denied getting married soon and called the rumours stupid as she is currently focusing on her work.
In an interview with ETimes, Janhvi said “I read something very stupid just recently where they said that I have confirmed some relationship aur meri shadi hone wali hai. People mixed up 2-3 articles saying I am getting married. They are getting me married in a week which I am not okay with (laughs). I want to work at the moment.”
Earlier, Janhvi shared that she had known Shikhar since her teenage days. She also called him a support system for her. In a chat with Mirchi Plus, Janhvi Kapoor said, “He (Shikhar Pahariya) has been in my life since I was 15-16. I think my dreams have always been his dreams and his dreams have always been my dreams. We’ve been very close. We’ve been each other’s support system almost as if we’ve raised each other.”
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming release Mr & Mrs Mahi. The story revolves around a couple who loves cricket very much. Janhvi’s character is a doctor, who later gets inspired by the words of her husband (played by Rajkummar Rao). Later, she follows her passion for cricket which led to several difficulties in their lives. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the movie also features Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Purnendu Bhattacharya, Yamini Das and Abhilash Chaudhary in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to be released on 31st May.
