Imran Khan’s Return to Bollywood: A Family Affair

Bollywood fans, rejoice! Imran Khan, who hasn’t been seen on screen since 2015, is making a comeback! After several years away from the spotlight, both personally and professionally, he’s back in the news and ready to entertain us again. Though his next project hasn’t been announced yet, it’s clear he’s excited to return.

In a recent interview, Imran compared himself to his uncles, Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan. He explained that focusing solely on the films themselves seems to run in the family. He said, “Since starting with ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na,’ I’ve actually rejected more money than I’ve taken. There are events you can go to where they pay you to show up, or fashion shows where you walk the runway and get paid. Even shopping mall openings! They pay you to cut a ribbon. But I’ve never done any of that. So many people would call and offer huge sums of money for these things, but it’s just not for me. I’ve always avoided that stuff.”

He went on to say, “It seems to be a family trait. Take Aamir, or even my uncle Mansoor. He famously left the whole city after making only four films and went to live in Coonoor. You could say it’s a kind of family illness! (laughs) This thing where we get a little disconnected and uninterested in the things people chase after so much. That’s how I was raised, and it’s what I’ve seen in my family. We don’t put much stock in those things. It’s all temporary, like the tide. What matters is your craft, the film itself. Films are forever.”

There were earlier rumors that Imran would be making his comeback in a movie called “Happy Patel,” directed by Vir Das. However, Imran cleared this up, saying that Vir Das is actually directing and starring in the movie himself.

So, while we wait for official news about Imran’s return project, it’s clear he’s passionate about his craft and excited to be back in the world of entertainment. It seems like his family has always prioritized the art of filmmaking over the fame and fortune that often comes with it. We can only wait with anticipation to see what project brings him back to the big screen!
