Sharmila Tagore – We now know her more as Saif Ali Khan’s mom and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s mother-in-law. As she is eagerly awaiting her third grandchild, we take a look at some pictures from her golden era.
Tagore began her acting career in 1959, in a Bengali film. She is known for her excellent body of work including films such as Aradhana (1969), Amar Prem (1972), Safar (1970), Anupama (1966), Mere Hamdam Mere Dost (1968), Chupke Chupke (1975), Mausam (1975), and Besharam (1978) among others.
She married the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, the Nawab of Pataudi and former captain of the Indian cricket team, in a Nikah ceremony held on 27 December 1969. She has three children – Saif Ali Khan, Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan.
