Farah Khan Recalls Trouble In Shooting With Naseeruddin Shah In Main Hoon Na; Says ‘Mujhe Itna Tang Kia Ki…’

In a recent interview, Bollywood director Farah Khan talked about the challenges she faced while making her first movie, “Main Hoon Na.” She said that well-known actor Naseeruddin Shah caused her a lot of trouble during filming.

According to Farah, she first asked Naseeruddin to play the bad guy in the movie, but he refused right away. Then, she offered him the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s father, which he agreed to do. However, even though the role was supposed to take ten days to film, Naseeruddin finished it in just six days.

Farah explained during a chat that she didn’t want to reveal these details because Naseeruddin might get upset with her. She said, “It’s a long story, and Naseer might yell at me for telling it.”

Farah went on to say that Naseeruddin wasn’t the only actor who turned down the villain role. Actors Nana Patekar and Kamal Haasan also rejected it. Eventually, Suniel Shetty ended up playing the bad guy in the movie.

After casting the villain, Farah still needed to find someone to play Shah Rukh Khan’s dad. That’s when she went back to Naseeruddin and convinced him to take the part.

Farah said, “I told Naseeruddin, ‘Please do at least this role.'” Thankfully, he agreed. But even though the role was supposed to take ten days to film, Naseeruddin finished all his scenes in just six days. “He caused me so much trouble that I had to wrap up his filming early,” Farah joked. “But other than that, he was great to work with. I really like Naseeruddin.”
