Esha Deol Reflects on Iconic ‘Dhoom’ Bikini Moment and Her Mother’s Cool Reaction

As the action-packed blockbuster “Dhoom” celebrates its 20th anniversary, Esha Deol looked back on her unforgettable bikini moment in the film’s title track.

In a recent interview, Esha revealed that her mother, legendary actress Hema Malini, had no qualms about her wearing a bikini. Esha emphasized her mother’s broad-mindedness, highlighting that wearing bikinis on holidays with friends was nothing out of the ordinary.

This contrasts with Esha’s previous statements about seeking her mother’s permission for the scene. However, it seems Hema Malini’s response was relaxed and supportive.

Esha also shared that she didn’t get to ride the iconic bikes during filming, as they were considered more valuable than the actors. She did, however, get to enjoy occasional rides with Abhishek, John, and Uday after shooting wrapped up in Goa.

“Dhoom,” directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Yash Raj Films, was a massive success, leading to two even more popular sequels. The film’s legacy continues to be celebrated, with Esha’s bold look remaining a memorable part of its impact.
