Dunki Trailer: Vicky Kaushal’s Character Dies in Shah Rukh Khan Film? Drop 4 Hints at His Fate

Speculation about Vicky’s demise began circulating online after the release of the teaser, and the trailer seems to confirm these suspicions. In the trailer, Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Hardayal Singh Dhillon, introduces the entire cast, including Vicky’s Sukhi. He reveals that Sukhi has been diligently studying English in hopes of immigrating to England.
However, the trailer takes a somber turn when Sukhi’s application for England is denied. We witness an enraged Vicky expressing his frustration. The trailer then cuts to a funeral scene. While prominent actors like Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani are present, Vicky is noticeably absent, suggesting his demise. An emotional Shah Rukh is seen delivering a monologue, implying a significant turning point in the narrative.
Vicky had opened up about working in the movie during a chat with Bollywood Hungama. “It’s a dream come true. Unko milna hi dream come true hota hai, unke saath kaam karna to socho kitna bada dream come true hai. (Just meeting him is a dream come true, so just imagine what a big dream it was to work with Shah Rukh). That too, in combination with Raju sir directing you,” he said, speaking about working with director Rajkumar Hirani.
Talking about Shah Rukh, Vicky added, “So I can’t talk about it in detail, but I can tell you this. I understood why he is the Badshah, after working with him. There’s no one like him).”
