DPIFF Awards 2024: Nayanthara wins Best Actress award for ‘Jawan’

Nayanthara and Shah Rukh Khan Win Big at Awards Show!

At the recent Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF), Nayanthara and Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) were the stars of the night! Both actors won awards for their roles in the action thriller film “Jawan.”

Nayanthara took home the Best Actress award for her performance as a police officer and SRK’s love interest in the film. SRK, who played a double role in the movie, won the Best Actor award.

Fans were especially excited to see clips of SRK dancing on stage to the song “Chaleya” while presenting the award to Nayanthara. This was a fun moment that highlighted their co-star chemistry.

“Jawan” was released in September 2023 and was a huge box office success. It was the first time SRK worked with director Atlee, and the film also featured an impressive cast including Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra.

Sharing his joy about the film’s success, SRK said, “It’s a celebration! This film was years in the making, partly due to the pandemic. Many people worked incredibly hard on it, especially those from the South who moved to Mumbai to make this film possible.”
