Shah Rukh Khan’s Witty Hosting and Award Win at IIFA

Shah Rukh Khan, known for his charisma and humor, showcased his hosting skills at the 24th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi. Alongside Vicky Kaushal, Khan entertained the audience and also received the Best Actor award for his blockbuster film, Jawan.

During a lighthearted exchange, Khan joked that significant film projects often come to him first before being offered to other actors. Vicky took the opportunity to ask Khan about various films, including the 2022 release Laal Singh Chaddha.

Khan also revealed that he had once wanted to be part of Pushpa: The Rise but felt he couldn’t match Allu Arjun’s charisma. This remark elicited cheers from the audience.

About Pushpa

Pushpa: The Rise is a Telugu action film starring Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, a coolie who rises within a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The film also features Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, and others. Released in 2021, Pushpa received mixed reviews but was a commercial success, grossing over ₹360–373 crore globally.

The film won two awards at the 69th National Film Awards and seven awards at the 67th Filmfare Awards South. Pushpa: The Rise is the first part of a film series, with the sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, set to be released on December 6, 2024.
