SYNOPSIS
Chennai Express is the story of a 40-year-old bachelor Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) who is embarking on an epic train journey across India to a small town in Tamil Nadu. His mission is fulfil his grandfather’s dying wish to have his ashes scattered in Rameshwaram. Along the way, our hero meets a South Indian girl (Deepika Padukone) from an orthodox family.
Love soon blossoms between the young couple, but there are complications. As they travel through colourful South India, a huge clash of cultures awaits. In unfamiliar surroundings, where people speak a different language, Rahul finds himself experiencing a series of amazing adventures.
