Amruta Subhash REVEALS Husband Encouraged Her Lust Stories 2 Co-Star Shrikant Yadav For Sex’ Scenes

Amruta Subhash, talking on Netflix’s Actors Roundtable, revealed the behind-the-scenes story of filming intimate scenes for her show “Lust Stories 2”. She credited her husband’s support and discussions with Konkona Sen Sharma (“Koko”) for helping her navigate the emotional complexities.

Her segment, “Mirror”, was lauded for its boldness, but Amruta shared the challenges of portraying those intense moments. Both she and her co-star, Shrikant Yadav, who is also her real-life best friend, were initially hesitant about the intimate scenes due to their close bond.

To overcome their apprehension, Amruta requested a day to rehearse with Shrikant before filming. However, she faced hesitation from him, who said, “I can’t do this with you.” This is where Amruta’s husband, who is also an actor and friends with Shrikant, stepped in. He became a pillar of support, providing both emotional and practical guidance to the duo.

Amruta emphasized the importance of having a supportive network, especially when filming such sensitive scenes. Her story highlights the challenges actors face when portraying intimacy, particularly with close friends, and how having open communication and a strong support system can help navigate those complexities.

Amruta said, “When I read the script, there were so many intimate scenes and I am scared of those. So I told Koko that I need one day with Shrikant, who is my best friend of (many) years. He’s like ‘main tere saath ye nahi kar sakta (I can’t do this with you).’ My husband is his friend and also an actor. He is telling him ‘tu karlega, acche se karlega (you’ll do it well)’.” Her anecdote elicited laughter from fellow panelists, which included Kajol, Jaydeep Ahlawat, Kareena Kapoor, Tillotama Shome, Sidharth Malhotra, and Sanya Malhotra.

In July, Amruta had shared pictures of Shrikant on social media, introducing him as her on-screen husband for Lust Stories. “Got so many messages asking me who played my husband in Lust Stories 2. Happy that my old friend Shrikant Yadav is getting so much praise for this role! You must have seen him in Jalsa as a cop or also in Family Man and in Killa. What an actor!@konkonas @RSVPMovies @NetflixIndia,” she wrote.
