Mona was born as a boy in Andhra Pradesh and later at the age of 16 she opened it up to her father and identified herself as a woman. She never wanted to pursue her career in Medicals and hence opposed in front of her father to let her choose fashion studies.

It was never easy for her to become what she is right now. Mona, with the support of her Mother, had a family discussion and convinced her father to take her to a clinic. And even after having a consultation with the doctor, her father denied the fact about her being a woman.
