Karthik Sivakumar and Arvind Swamy’s Tamil film “Meiyazhagan” has enjoyed a solid start at the box office, despite facing tough competition from Jr NTR’s “Devara: Part 1.” Released on September 27th, the family drama crossed the ₹10 crore mark within its first three days.

• Total Net Collection (India): ₹16.05 crore
• Total Gross Collection (Worldwide): ₹24 crore

On September 30th, “Meiyazhagan” recorded a 22.01% occupancy rate in Tamil Nadu and a 19.15% occupancy rate for its Telugu version (“Satyam Sundaram”).
