Kalki 2898 AD Box Office: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone’s Dystopian Film Makes Rs. 414.25 Crore In 8 Days
July 5, 2024Kalki 2898 AD, a sci-fi movie with a mix of Indian mythology, earned around 414 crore rupees (roughly 50 million US dollars) in India within the first week since its release. This number is a little lower than the earnings in the previous few days. Despite this small dip, the movie has already made over 700 crore rupees (around 85 million US dollars) worldwide.
The movie stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. In the film, Prabhas plays a character named Bhairava.
On the first day (June 27th), the movie earned 95 crore rupees (around 12 million US dollars). The earnings then went down a bit on Friday but went back up over the weekend. However, from Monday to Thursday, the earnings gradually decreased again.

The director, Nag Ashwin, also talked about the sequel to the movie. He said they have already shot some parts of it, but there are still a lot of action scenes left to film. He also mentioned that the main focus of the sequel will be the fight between three important characters.
