Kalki 2898 AD: A box office hit with Prabhas leading the charge

Prabhas’s new movie, Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is doing extremely well at the box office. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. It opened strong in India and is expected to be a big hit worldwide.

Even before it came out, there was a lot of excitement for Kalki 2898 AD. Tickets were selling really well in advance, bringing in Rs 55 crore in India alone. This is a high number, and especially impressive is that Rs 44 crore came from the Telugu version, according to a report on Sacnilk.com. Kalki 2898 AD is also doing well outside of India. In North America, people bought tickets in advance for a total of $3.08 million (which is about Rs 31 crore). This strong international performance shows that Indian movies are popular around the world and that Prabhas is a big star.

People are watching closely to see how much money the movie makes on its opening day worldwide. Experts in the movie business think it could be one of the top-grossing Indian opening days ever. Right now, the record is held by RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, which made Rs 223 crore on its opening day. Baahubali 2 is in second place with Rs 217 crore.
