DYK Salman Khan Is The First Indian To Donate Bone Marrow? Know The Young Girl’s Plight Which Inspired Him

Salman Khan, a famous Bollywood actor, is known for his roles in hit movies like Tiger 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Besides acting, he is also known for his charitable work. One special thing he did was being the first Indian to donate bone marrow.

Salman Khan promised to donate to the Marrow Donor Registry India (MDRI) in 2010. He was inspired by a young girl named Pooja who needed a bone marrow transplant. Salman tried to get his football team to donate too, but only he and his brother Arbaaz did it. They were the first Indian celebrities to do this, showing others how to help.

A doctor at MDRI thanked Salman Khan for his support and for helping people who need transplants. Salman said that there are not enough donors in India and that people should be braver and donate to save lives. It is easy to donate, like a blood test.

Another actor, Suniel Shetty, said that Salman Khan is a good person who wants to make the world better. Suniel Shetty said that God is kind to Salman Khan because of his good heart and helping others.
