Yeh Hai Chahatein 5th August 2024 Written Update: Meera accepts Arjun as husband

The episode starts with Kaashvi telling her grandmother that she knows Arjun married Meera. Dadi is shocked and asks Kaashvi if she was there. Kaashvi says she saw Meera unveil Arjun as his bride. She’s upset that Arjun betrayed her and married someone else. Dadi asks Kaashvi about the good news (she’s pregnant), but Kaashvi dismisses it, saying it doesn’t matter now that Arjun ruined everything.

At the hospital, Meera questions Vikram about why he asked Arjun to marry her and where Mohan is. The staff brings Mohan’s dead body, and Meera is devastated to see her husband dead. Vikram explains that Mohan died from electric shock and that Arjun married Meera knowing she’s pregnant.

Meera confronts Arjun about marrying her when he loves Kaashvi. Arjun explains that he did it for their baby’s sake and because Kaashvi is leaving. He can’t stay with Kaashvi because of their son, Karun.

Meera is angry that they made this decision for her. Vikram tries to justify it by saying Arjun will be a good husband and she’ll understand in the future. Meera refuses to accept the marriage and leaves.

Dadi tells Kaashvi she needs to understand why Arjun married Meera and suggests she talk to him.

Arjun explains to Meera that their marriage is just a formality and they’ll remain friends. He can’t face Kaashvi because she’ll be heartbroken and hate him for what he did. He wants Kaashvi to hate him so she can move on.

Later, Nitya welcomes Meera into the house as Arjun’s wife. Kaashvi arrives and questions Arjun about what’s happening. Arjun dismisses her, saying it doesn’t matter since she was leaving. She asks to see Mohan, and he tells her that Mohan is dead and that Meera is more than a friend to him. Kaashvi doesn’t believe him, but he insists that he and Meera have feelings for each other.

The episode ends with Karun asking Arjun if he married Meera for him.
