Dhadak 2 Announced: A Love Story Tackling Social Issues

Movie producer Karan Johar’s company, Dharma Productions, just announced their new film, Dhadak 2! This romantic drama will be directed by Shazia Iqbal and star actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

The movie poster that was released hints at a sad and emotional story with its dramatic music. Dhadak 2 might explore the important social issue of caste discrimination in India, similar to the first Dhadak movie which dealt with the terrible practice of “honor killings.” The first Dhadak film launched the careers of actors Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.

This is a big opportunity for director Shazia Iqbal, as Dhadak 2 will be her first full-length movie for theaters. Before this, she was praised for her work on a short film called “Love Storiyaan.” Dhadak 2 promises to be a love story that’s both beautiful and heartbreaking, and one that reflects the realities of modern life.

Siddhant Chaturvedi is back working with Dharma Productions after their successful movie “Gehraiyaan” which was released online. Triptii Dimri is also collaborating with Dharma Productions again – she’s currently filming “Bad Newz” with actors Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.

Dhadak 2 is being produced by three companies: Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The movie is set to hit theaters on November 22nd, so mark your calendars!
